Curb Appeal – Landscaping When Selling a Home
What are the advantages or disadvantages of using a real estate agent?
Any suggestions on selling your own home quickly?
My family and I will be moving to another state because of job transfer. I have worked very hard to update the home. I am a stay-at-home mom, so losing that typical 6% commission to an agent is money my family could diffently use for education expenses. I think I can do this but don’t really know what is involved. Thanks.
Do you think Craigslist is a good way to sell a home by owner?
I just put my house up on Craigslist. I have gotten one call and have a showing set up. I am wondering if anyone out there has ever sold their home by using Craigslist?
It would be great to sell the house lower and save the realtor fees. I am listing it at 30k less than the realtor will list it for. I am giving the buyer the savings as a motivation to buy now. Wonderful home btw!
Has anyone had success listing a home for sale on the Internet?
Our company has recently made the move from contract work to new home construction and in summer 2005 constructed 2 homes in a small development. We have tried to sell them on our own, but the price was a little high compared to the other lots because of extras like granite countertops, travertine tile, etc., and we still have them on our hands, growing more expensive with every month’s interest payment.
Have any of you had any success with any forms of home advertising or selling online? If so, please divulge…I am very open to suggestions. Thanks in advance!
Any Home selling tips in this slow market?
Do I need a real estate agent if buying a Repossessed House through a bank?
I am planning on buying a bank repossessed house. Do I need a real estate agent or can I just go to the bank and buy the repo house through them?
If I buy the house directly from the bank, will I save on commissions because I am dealing directly with the bank or there is not such a thing?
Thanks in advance for any help, in any way.
What are some good ideas to stage a home for sale?
Are there grants to update older home to prepare for sale?
We bought our first small home with the intention of fixing it up and selling it a few years down the road. That was right before the economy crashed, we both lost our jobs more than once. So here we are 3 years later and haven’t been able to even get started.
The home is from the 1960′s and it looks it with dark brown/black paneling on the walls (with black trim!), green carpeting, outdated appliances, etc. The foundation and structure of the house is in good shape, no major mechanical problems. It just needs A LOT of updating. Here we are stuck in this crappy house with no money and of course a house like this will never sell.
My question is: Are there any grants and/or assistance available for situations like this to help get a home updated so that it is sellable on the market? Or are we stuck with this hell hole until the end of time?
